5-7 p.m. Take Back the Night March/Rally will take place in Veterans Park in recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Everyone is welcome to participate in the activities.

Friday, April 19

5:30-7:30 p.m. The Wetmore Community Library will host a spaghetti dinner in the Wetmore Community Building at CR 393 in Wetmore. The menu consists of spaghetti, salad, bread, drinks and dessert. The suggested donation is $10 per person. A silent auction with several western-themed pieces of art and other items will be available to bid on. 7 a.m. Run a 50K, 30K, 20K, 12.5K or 5K at Aravaipa Runnings Royal Gorge Groove race at the Royal Gorge Ranch and Resort and Royal Gorge Trails. Mountain Bike events on Sunday, too! This event is a 1 percent for Trails sponsor.

1 p.m. Legislative Forum will be presented in cooperation with the Fremont County Commissioners and the Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance (RGCA) in the Fremont County Administration Building. This forum gives citizens the opportunity to hear from and talk with our legislators about the latest news from the Capitol.

Sunday, April 21

10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Earth Day activities will be sponsored by FAR, Nature's Educators, RIO and other organizations at the Royal Gorge Bridge on Earth Day. Not only will participants have the chance to meet Smokey Bear, they'll be able to take tours by Nature's Educators staff to learn about the geology and wildlife of the park. This event will happen during normal park hours, but special tours will run throughout the day. There will be a game and prizes, so bring the kids by and say "hello.” Cost is $15 entry fee to the bridge if participants mention “Earth Day” or be sure to get a half-price season pass online now. 3 p.m. Ricardo Peña Band, comprised of some of the very best professional, full time musicians in the state of Colorado, will be presented by the Fremont County Community Concert Association in the Cañon City High School auditorium at 1313 College Ave. in Cañon City. Tickets purchased at the door for individual concerts are $20 each. Admission for students 18 and under accompanied by a member is complimentary.

3 p.m. Fremont Civic Choir will present a concert in The Steeple Event & Conference Center, Directed by Lori Judkins.
