We have had a tragic incident here in Colorado, in the Peoples' Democrat Republic of Boulder (the home where our governor fits right in). Two days ago (March 23, 2021 with this being written on March 25) in the early afternoon, I started getting news alerts online about a mass shooter incident at the Table Mesa Shopping Center's King Soopers store. In case this reaches outside Colorado, King Soopers is the local branch of Kroger grocery stores.
The first official indication of something happening was when the Boulder, Colorado, Police got a call at 2:40 p.m. reporting a shooting in the parking lot of that King Soopers. For the record, Boulder Police (and a lot of other departments) got there in mere minutes. Grocery stores are large, full of people, and in that kind of incident cops entering the crime scene have no idea who or how many possible attackers there are. They have to get everybody out, sorting them out, and search the entire store while protecting themselves and the integrity of the crime scene. It is highly dangerous, nay deadly, work and one Boulder officer paid the ultimate price. BPD Officer Eric Talley was first on the scene and was shot and killed immediately.
We found out later that at 3:28 p.m. the shooter himself was shot in the leg and captured in the store. But it was not announced until later that evening as the police searched the store for any accomplices and isolated it with fencing for the crime lab people. Throughout the incident, the Media said the police told them that they were also looking for one “person of interest” named "Thomas Hanger" who was supposed to be armed and in an apartment “near a high school” and another un-named “person of interest.
It was not until later that evening that they showed the shooter and identified him, and the names of the ten people he had killed. Let us say 4-5 hours after the news of the shootings broke.
During that time, on every media outlet I saw, and every online site I checked, they were describing the shooter as almost certainly a White, Male, Conservative, and Religious. Oh yes, also as probably a Racist who hated minorities. Keep in mind that there was absolutely no information released about the shooter by the BPD until later that evening. This was an example of the pure Party line.
The media knew the impression that they were trying to leave in peoples' minds. Facts be damned.
So in the evening, the Boulder Police released the name of the shooter. Ahmad Aliwa al-Issa. While some people may be confused whether his family came to this country on the MAYFLOWER, or maybe migrated down from the Viking settlement of L'Anse aux Meadows at the northern tip of Newfoundland; the BPD clarified it. He came to this country as a child with his Muslim family from Syria. And his family came as refugees under one of Obama's programs.
As far as the probable description by the media; well he was not White. He was Male. And the Conservative and Religious were true, but in a twisted sort of way. He was Conservative and Religious; but he was a conservative and more than passing fanatical Muslim. Not exactly the impression the Media was trying to leave.
In one of those amazing coincidences that happen when a protected class is publicly accused of a crime, his Facebook account was somehow shut down shortly after being arrested and named. But it happened this time that someone copied it just before it was shut down. Online it was clear that he had threatened death and injury to those who opposed and insulted Islam. Since he came here as a child, he went to school here. And fought in school. In 2017, he was arrested for punching a classmate's face in Arvada, (where he officially lives now) and charged with 3rd Degree Assault after the victim supposedly said something insulting.
He claimed on Facebook to be a student at Metro State University in Denver, which the University denied, so I am operating on the refutable assumption that the classmate was his at high school in Arvada.
The last presumption about the shooter was, of course, as a racist. And he may well be. When they released the names of the victims, they also released the pictures of them. Every single one of them was white. Now Table Mesa Shopping Center is mere blocks from part of the CU Boulder campus. A significant percentage of the CU Boulder student body is non-white. And students tend to live on or near the campus. King Soopers, being the nearest supermarket, would quite possibly have more than a few as customers, which would include a percentage of non-whites.
The shooting started at 2:40 p.m. and ended at 3:28 p.m. About 45 minutes. The first person shot was an elderly man outside the store, and witnesses said that after shooting him down, al Issa came up to him and deliberately shot him a couple more times. Then he went into the store.
Ten people were shot and killed. One was the man outside. One was Officer Talley responding and entering the store. That leaves eight shot and killed inside the store in just under 45 minutes. On average, one every 5+ minutes. Between staff and customers, one could easily expect there were a total of 200-250 people there since management staff would be there during the afternoon.
Two hundred fifty people trapped in a building for 40-45 minutes with a shooter. Unlike the cops coming in who have to do several things at once at the risk of their lives, al Issa's only purpose was to kill unarmed (this is Boulder) victims. Out of those 250 people, over that long period of time, he “only” killed eight. He had to have had some sort of pre-determined, specific victim selection criteria. Since there were no surviving wounded, and based on his actions outside the store, it is likely that he deliberately shot his victims two or more times. Not random. The list of victims included males and females and the gamut of ages of adults. The only things that they shared were being white adults. NO Blacks. NO Hispanics. NO Asians. Granting that it is theoretically possible that there were no Blacks, Hispanics or Asians in the store at the time; remember that this is near the home of the University of Colorado and it is the most ethnically mixed part of Boulder.
It is not unreasonable to assume, in the absence of proof otherwise, that he was deliberately hunting Whites and possibly deliberately NOT hunting children (which also were likely to have been there).
All of these things except gender that the Media was claiming for the hours from the beginning of the shooting till the release of the pictures and names of the shooter and victims were false. Every single gou3 cao4 de5 thing that they said.
Now let me remind you of something else the Media said that they were told by the Boulder Police. That there was an armed “Thomas Hanger” in an apartment “near a high school” and another un-named Person of Interest that they were actively looking for. I have not been able to find anything confirming that in fact there were some other persons of interest ever being looked for. Unless they were lied to by the Boulder Police, it was another gou3 cao4 de5 thing that they lied about.
Finally, let me offer something else that you are not hearing about with Ahmad Aliwa al-Issa. Buried deep in the coverage of the shootings in the New York Times was this little gem.
The suspect's identity was previously known to the F.B.I. because he was linked to another individual under investigation by the bureau, according to law enforcement officials.
For those familiar with previous terrorist investigations, there is a strong likelihood that al Issa was a paid FBI informant working both sides. I refer you to the Pulse Nightclub shooter (Omar Mateen), the San Bernardino Terrorists (Tashfeen Malik) and the Garland, Texas, shooters (Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi) among others. For that reason, and because he turned out to be a Muslim refugee mass murderer, allowed into this country by a Democrat president, expect this story to disappear from the news in the next week or so.
