For the last couple of weeks, we have been discussing violence, mass shootings especially, in our country. And we have been emphasizing the reactions, official and otherwise, that bear no relation to reality. It is continuing, and things are coming to a head.
Any time there is a mass shooting, the first line by the media and government officials is that it must be a White, Christian, Conservative Male who committed the crime. Every time there is an assault on the street of a minority, it is blamed on White, Conservative, Christian Males in all the commentary. And despite occurrence after occurrence of such attacks, recently every single one of the incidents turns out to be done by someone who is a “Protected Class.” And it has been a very busy few weeks.
In the week since I last appeared here, several more incidents have taken place. In Washington, DC, an Uber delivery driver was hijacked. Just to show that it is not only whites who are victims, the driver was a Pakistani senior citizen who was working for a living. Two black female teens, one 13 and one 15, hijacked the driver with a Taser. They took off with the driver clinging to the side of the car (his own) and crashed it with the car rolling over on the driver, who died. The whole incident took less than 90 seconds. We know that because a bystander heard the first screams and videoed the whole thing. And posted it on Twitter, where it was viewed 5.5 million times in a couple of days.
Now the key point in this is NOT that the killers were black. The key is what the official response was. Remember, this was caught on video. There is no deniability. There is no, “I did not mean to do it.” And it should be noted that for the 15-year-old, this was her second carjacking. But the DA in Washington, DC has his own ideas about justice. Under the law in DC, the 12-year-old has to be treated as a juvenile. Can't do anything about that. But this is a combination of felonies, including murder. The 15-year-old, under the local law, can be charged as an adult. Remember also, this is the second carjacking she has been caught for. But to the DA, it is more important to see that she does not see the consequences of her actions. So he cut a plea deal that gave them both juvenile detention until they are 18. Then they will be free. Something just doesn't seem right with that.
A couple of days ago (April 6) near Fort Detrick, Md., a 38-year-old Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4) shot and wounded two other sailors at a Naval Medical Research Center warehouse. The shooter fled towards Fort Detrick. When stopped at the gate, he brandished a pistol. That was a tactical error. In an aerial shot of the car I saw six bullet holes in the windshield grouped right where the driver would have been sitting. After a day-long delay, and long after identifying the two shot sailors, they gave the name of the shooter, Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet. No description and no picture. Finally, after a day, they showed him and gave his background. While there is some question if he came here as a child refugee, or was the child of a refugee, he was Muslim Ethiopian in background. NOT a White, Christian Male.
This morning (April 8) at the top of the news was a mass shooting in South Carolina. Five people killed; a retired doctor, his wife, two grandchildren, and a maintenance man working on the outside of the house. Once again, the hue and cry about White mass shooters. That lasted a couple of hours. Until they found the shooter in his own home, dead from suicide. The shooter was well known, and therefore they did not try to conceal his identity. He was former San Francisco 49er cornerback Phillip Adams. His parents were neighbors of those he killed. And no, he was anything but a White mass shooter. The victims were all white, and the story is already down the memory hole.
Just in passing, another event that does not involve firearms but bears certain similarities. Earlier this week, (April 2) a car deliberately rammed the barricade blocking the North entrance to the U.S. Capitol. This barricade, manned by the Capitol Police, is just outside where the army troops are posted to keep citizens away from our Supreme Soviet. One Capitol Police officer was injured and one was killed. The driver exited the car waving a knife and moving towards the officers. He ignored warnings to stop . . . and was terminally stopped.
Now given that the Federales have made it an article of “woke” faith that the legal demonstration Jan. 6 against the theft of the election was somehow an act of open insurrection, and that the death of unarmed Ashli Babbit who was shot by a Federal officer inside the Capitol was an attempted revolution; the media led off with the conjecture that this was somehow revenge. And were implying it was done by a White, Male, Christian conservative, probably seeking vengeance for Jan. 6. Except, like in every other case, it was not. The driver, who was named finally more than 24 hours later, was one Noah Green. And he was a member of the Nation of Islam and a follower of Louis Farrakhan. Not many Black Muslims who are White, Male, Christians. In fact, Green started the process to legally change his last name to Muhammad last December according to British papers, which do a lot more real investigating of American events than ours.
There are a couple of threads running through events like this. They are consistent, and they come from both the regime and their press lackeys. Any act of violent crime is assumed to be the fault of those evil White, Male, Christians. “WMC” may well be the modern equivalent of “Emmanuel Goldstein.” For those for whom that does not ring a bell, think about the George Orwell novel “Nineteen Eighty-Four.” Every totalitarian regime needs an opponent, real or fictional, to blame everything that goes wrong on. White, Male, Christians fill the bill for the current regime.
The other thread is something that can also be depended on. Let us say that some perpetrator or perpetrators, commit some terrible act; be it mass murder, arson, robbery, assault, etc. It will be reported in the mass media. Look at the coverage. If the perpetrator(s) are White Anglo-Saxon Protestant/Catholic that will be mentioned early in the coverage or pictures will be available. Family will be identified. And coverage will be extended a long period of time and blame will be spread from the perp(s) to people totally unconnected with the event.
Because I am old, I frequently use the phrase “protected class.” These are groups of people that have special status under various Federal laws. I usually think of the statuses granted under the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which was created by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Like I said, I am old. Protected Class status is granted based on color, disability, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, and a number of other factors. Originally meant to be defined narrowly for employment discrimination, now it means in practice immunity from criticism (and frequently equitable prosecution) for the kinds of acts I listed above.
Today they have their own acronyms. BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color. Black can refer to dark-skinned peoples of Africa, Oceania and Australia or their descendants without regard for the lightness or darkness of skin tone) and LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, and asexual. However, the plus allows the term to cover all different subsets like allies, pansexual, androgynous, and polyamorous.) These new acronyms share the practical immunity noted above.
If one of them is the perpetrator, a sure sign is that instead of the publicity as to who the perpetrators are or their special status, there is functional silence. The media will talk about the crime, but not who committed it. If a shooter, or a robber, or a violent attacker is a “Protected Class” under either the old or new definitions, their involvement will be talked around and their status not mentioned for as long as possible. If identity or affiliation of the perpetrator is not mentioned in the first three paragraphs, or at all for more than 24 hours, you can assume that unless proved otherwise it was done by a “Protected Class.”
The key thing is not the individual criminal as you look at these things. What is important is noticing the pattern from the government and their kept media. How many times can you catch them lying to you or trying to distort or conceal the truth? One help by the way, in this online age, is looking at foreign news coverage too. I like looking at British papers online. They speak something close to the variant of English we use. They cover news about this country. And while Brits have their own world of PC things they are absolutely not allowed to talk about (frequently at government behest), they do not share the same taboos as American politicians and media. They will do investigative reporting on American topics, and report the truth, because it makes us look bad. Which for them is amusing. Their being amused does not change the fact that they are frequently reporting the truth that American media will not.
If you are not being told the truth by media and government, then you have to find the truth by any means you can. In any country where the news is controlled people learn work-arounds to try to find the truth so they are reacting to the real world. If the media and government are lying to you, it is usually not a unique thing. One deception may be chance. Twice may be coincidence. Three times is deliberate, hostile action. How many of the Gentle Readers feel like the media and government have deceived them three or more times? In the last week or so? The search for truth amongst lies is the natural course of things, and the course does not end there.
